Built on the coast, in front of the blue waters of the Gulf of Benin, Lome is a city with modern hotels, offering a multitude of restaurants, casinos, prosperous markets and lively nightclubs.
With over one million inhabitants, Lome is the largest city of Togo. It remains, however, a small metropolis. Its architecture includes small shops and charming villas, old colonial buildings and large properties fitted with lush gardens, all framed by coconut trees and shrubs in bloom. Lome is a reflection of modernism and tradition. |

During the day, the streets hum of activity and commerce. After sunset, street salers set up small stalls in the light of lamps that illuminate the night. The African music is everywhere. |

As in most capitals of the coast of West Africa, Lome has a sandy beach lined with coconut trees.
The fishermen operate on the entire coast. |
